Steven is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.  He is currently a Physiotherapist at LifeTime Sports Medicine Clinic - a centre specializing in Athletic injuries, and Rivlin Medical Group - a specialized centre treating chronic pain in Mississauga.  He obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in 2000 with a focus on the scientific basis of exercise and human movement.  In addition, Steven’s undergraduate studies also included formal research in sports nutrition and athletic performance - creating a strong foundation of evidence based scientific training principles.

Steven continued his academic training at the University of Toronto where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2003.  During his 10 years as the Emergency Department Physiotherapist at Mississauga Hospital, Steven’s professional experience has focused on stroke rehabilitation, and providing complex orthopaedic and neurological assessment / rehabilitation.  Additionally, Steven has extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation (ACL reconstruction, hip/knee replacements) and returning clients to sport ready performance.  His treatment approach focuses on functional based movements, evidence based training, myofascial therapy, and neurophysiology of pain treatment.  Steven is a certified Fascial Distortion Model Provider and Kinesiotaping Practitioner.  In addition to providing Physiotherapy at LifeTime SportsMedicine Clinic, Steven also provides in-home Physiotherapy throughout the west GTA to a variety of clients with a focus on complex orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation.  Aside from working with clients, he spends his time cycling, swimming, or playing sports with his 4 kids.
